At Ittihad Public School, along with modern education, special attention is given to Islamic studies to ensure that students receive balanced knowledge of both Deen and Dunya.
In the early grades, students are taught proper pronunciation of letters, Tajweed, and the rules of recitation. Later, selected portions of the Qur’an are taught with correct Tajweed. Our aim is that every student should at least be able to read the Qur’an fluently with proper Tajweed.
Along with Nazirah, students are encouraged to memorize selected Surahs from the Qur’an as well as the daily important Surahs recited in prayers and on special occasions.
A special Islamic Studies course is offered, which includes Aqeedah (beliefs), Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, Islamic history, Duas, Qur’an translation, and moral education to strengthen the students’ understanding of Islam.
Students with the aptitude and dedication for memorizing the Qur’an are carefully selected through an assessment process. They are then provided with structured programs, personal guidance, and a supportive learning environment to achieve their goal of becoming Huffaz.
